Play Pokies at Art Deco Masonic Hotel in Napier

Lovely comfortable room in a really nice hotel but the rooms are not sound proof at all & I kept waking up through the night as I could clearly hear people talking. At first (10.30pm) it sounded like it was people in another room or in the hall, then from about midnight thru to 2.30am it sounded like it was two guys in a bar but there wasn't a bar below or outside & then about 5.00am I could hear a man & woman talking. Worst nights sleep I've had for quite a while so I doubt I'll be back.

This is our second stay at this iconic and beautiful hotel. We have now stayed in the Jean Batten suite and on our recent visit the Anna Pavlova suite. Both were outstanding in both facilities and decor. The location is second to none, right in the heart of Napier, and when you're on the balcony you look straight out to sea over the stunning Sound Shell square opposite.
All the staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful. This is an absolute must when you visit Napier, you will not regret it!

My husband and I had a great stay at the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. The staff were wonderful. Gabriel was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and museums in the town. Everyone there was friendly. We will definitely go back.

Lovely staff, beautiful decor. Plumbing and ventilation is what you would expect of an older building. A bit more attention to detail in cleaning of bathroom floor, but otherwise a comfortable stay. Good access to balcony.

We booked last minute and the stay was great. The Receptionist was amazing, going above and beyond to help us after the booking we had elsewhere was messed up. He helped us with everything, including contacting the chef in the pub to see if he'd cook us dinner despite the kitchens having just closed. Very comfy rooms, nice bathrooms. Not a bad word to say about the place.
