Me and my wife recently stayed at the Picnic Bay hotel for a few nights and were delighted with our stay. From the cleanliness of the rooms and quality of the food to the service, everything was great, and we felt well looked after from the moment we arrived on the island. Special thanks to Zac, who was really accommodating, and Susie, who was an absolute gem during our breakfast service. Couldn't recommend it enough

We stopped by for lunch.
Good food, great sea views, relaxed vibe. Easy parking. Sunday roast on offer (as it was a Sunday). Fast service.
Fish and chips - light/medium batter, fish not overcooked. Recommended.
Steak - medium rare, cooked as ordered. Delicious.
Chicken burger - smoky, not dry. Very good.
Roast pork belly - also very good.

A Must-Stay on Magnetic Island!We have just finished an absolutely incredible family holiday at the Picnic Bay hotel, and we cannot recommend this place highly enough!From the second we arrived, everything was awesome. The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern, and beautifully looked after. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible team of staff. Every single staff member we encountered went completely above and beyond to make sure our family was well taken care of. They were so welcoming, helpful with the kids, and genuinely cared about our experience from start to finish.The food at the bistro was fantastic - huge, delicious meals, great variety, and a beautiful atmosphere right by the water. They even provided a fantastic, stress-free ferry shuttle service that made our travel transitions seamless.Thank you to the whole team for genuinely caring and making our trip so special. We will absolutely be back!

This is a food review. Don\'t go to the PIcnic Bay hotel for an evening meal. If, like us, you go for lunch and order the chicken parmi, you won\'t need dinner (or supper, or much for breakfast the next day).

Not only was the serving generous, it tasted great too.

But seriously, I can recommend this pub for whatever you want to eat.

Such a great location near end of the Jetty, with plenty of outdoor tables for a long lunch on a sunny day.
Morton Bay Bugs with a lightly spiced sauce were yum.
Schnitzel had a really crunchy crumb and tender chicken, well seasoned.
Picnic Bay is a wonderful location, with a beautiful historical jetty, clean swimming beaches and more.
