We had the Sunday Lunch special... the roast brisket on mash with roast pumpkin, carrots, pea puree, broccoli, crispy carrot ribbons and gravy. It was Absolutely DELICIOUS. Very generous portion of very lean, very tender brisket. All fresh vegetables. Did I mention....it was a mere .95, excellent value. Lovely friendly helpful staff, attentive without being a nuisance and rightly proud of their product. Rest of both bar and restaurant menus look good too... we will be back.

Great food and service just out of Christchurch, so it's a nice drive. I highly recommend for well cooked home style meals and large portions as well.
