The staff went above and beyond to ensure my elderly parents felt comfortable and well cared for during our stay. The cuisine was absolutely exquisite, especially the cocktails, showcasing local flavours that delighted our taste buds. To top it all off, we had an enchanting encounter with the local wildlife, which made our experience truly unforgettable. This place is a gem!

Unfortunately we had a very poor experience at the Samford hotel tonight. We ordered the rib fillet, the seafood catch and some cheesy garlic bread. All up cost around 4. We would have no issue paying that (or more) if the quality was there. However the food was of a very poor standard, with the steak very bland, lacking seasoning, not cooked to my order and being very tough. The fish was on the other hand overcooked and the prawns tasted a bit off or old.

This is our second poor experience here now and while we really hate to complain about this pub as we've just moved to the area and was keen to support the local but it's not up the scratch of the other venues owned by this group.

Food is great and reasonably priced.
Accommodates large groups.

Family friend with a playground out the back for kids.
Always reserve a table on weekends as they get very busy.

We spent 0 on food for a family of 4 and the chips were the best part. Thai beef salad was NOT a Thai beef salad with Italian dressing on the salad, soggy fried noodles and over cooked beef. They only had 4 chicken nuggets in the kids meals at a meal of chips and nuggets. I left disappointed.
Drinks, atmosphere and play area were good though.

We had dinner with friends for our Christmas breakup. The staff were very friendly, and the food arrived quickly overall. Unfortunately, one meal was missed in the order, but the staff handled it well, and it was replaced in a reasonable time.

The steaks were definitely the highlight of the meals - cooked perfectly and full of flavour. However, my side of vegetables was disappointingly oily. The steak sandwich was solid and met expectations, though it wasn't a standout dish.

Overall, it was a solid pub meal experience with friendly service.
