Service today was very slow for the food. When the food came it was adequately presented but the grilled barramundi was dry and tasteless. Very disappointed with that. Other food was better . Prices are adequate . Generally other aspects of service were fine. The Gap Tavern is a family friendly facility with activities for the children. It is comfortable with different areas inside and outside.

Would have been a lot better if the food for our table wasn't brought in 30 mins apart. By the time i got my food, my friend had finished his food :(

Also, my onion rings were cold and the patty in my burger was overcooked when it eventually got here..

The first time we came here was fine. This time, we waited 55 minutes for our food (2x steak), only for my "medium rare" steak to come out almost well done. The place was more than half empty. When we enquired about the wait we were told ours was the next docket up - unsure how this was the case when people who sat down more than 30 minutes after us were being served food. Anyway, no apology or attempt to make good by the establishment. Guess we won't be coming back. 3 for two steaks and a bottle of wine - overpriced for how long we had to wait and the quality of the food. Disappointed as we are new to The Gap and were hopeful for this local establishment.

We were really pleasantly surprised by our visit for lunch on Sunday. Meals were well portioned, well presented and tasty. An issue with my husbands burger was quickly and easily reduced, with apologies from the staff. The way the mistake was handled was very professional and reassured us that the staff cared.
