Play Pokies at Federal Hotel in Toowoomba City

Today we randomly stopped in for lunch on our way to Brisbane. Very welcoming greeting. We sat at table 17. Ordered drinks. Barman lovely. Communication excellent. Ordered food. Senior fish n chips. Fish burger. Plus pav dessert. Meals were as quick as could be. It was very busy. Very delicious. Fish burger in brioche bun. Yummmm. Fish n chips. Yummmm. Our waitress was extremely professional. Lovely polite young lady. Sadly dessert was a mix up but our waitress corrected immediately by offering the dessert that was ordered free of charge along with the wrong dessert. Boom. Great service. I personally would have another teaspoon of tartare on my burger and a wedge of lemon which I stole from my sisters plate. My personal thing. Thankyou.

A quick stop at the Federal hotel for dinner for 3. Greeted and seated by lovely staff. Food was on point for typical pub fare. Price for plate size was excellent. Fed, watered and on our way within the hour. Well done to the staff of the Federal hotel, compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Well done Jess, Ryan and staff for great service.

It's rare to walk into a bar where every single staff member is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel genuinely welcome - but that's exactly the experience here. Whoever is responsible for hiring and managing this team deserves serious credit. The service was warm and consistent from start to finish.

The food was also lovely - no complaints at all.

We'll definitely be back!

We've been to the Federal hotel 4 times in the last few weeks because we enjoy it so much. The meals are always beautiful and when Tammi found out it was my birthday she gave my wife and I two free schooners of alcoholic gingerbeer. Great service and great food, will definitely be back time and time again!

Went in to the federal for dinner, was met with a friendly bartender that was very helpful.

I decided to go with the 250grm rump along with chips salad with pepper sauce and a Garlic prawns topper

Steak - had good flavour seasoned well not real tender but was still pretty good
Salad - lacked dressing fresh enough but there was very little dressing.
Pepper sauce - love the pepper sauce
Chips - nice chips, little crispier would have been good but happy with them.
Garlic prawns topper- lacked flavour

Would return as other meals looked great c
