Surprisingly good pub food. We were in Auckland down from the North and we hadn't eaten all day.
I saw the sign which said bar and Grill and thought that it couldn't be too bad. It was surprisingly good food. It is a bar, so no ambience unless you like that, but the food was really good.

I had a hamburger and chips. The hamburger was huge! The meat was very good. My husband had venison sliders which he loved. We also enjoyed a pint of cider.

All in all a good place to grab lunch or dinner.

For a pub the food here is 10/10 have tried almost everything off the menu and not one dish was disappointing. Big portions and good price. Always fresh and delicious. Great spot to watch sports and have a drink. Even during busy times like UFC staff are always very efficient.

It used to be dog-friendly but not any more. Not sure if there is anything else changed. We used to like going there and enjoy the steaks. I'm not sure if I'll go back and try.

Staff are extremely friendly and the service has always been second to none. Whenever there is an issue (which isnt often) it is sorted instantly, apologetically and with the minimum of fuss. Great food and atmosphere at an extremely good price point.

Staffs are friendly. Above average quality food also reasonable price. They do lunch special (.50 or .50 with drinks) and daily special everyday.
I love their seafood/meat platter (.50 to share between two or three) and the Wild Buck lager (very cheap when you pop in at their Happy Hour)! It's one of my favourite place to hang out with friends after work. ??'???'?
